GARLIC




                     
Garlic is an herb. It is also known as a flavoring for food. But over the years, garlic has been used as a medicine to prevent or treat a wide range of diseases. 

Garlic belongs to the onion genus Allium, and is closely related to the onion, rakkyo, chive, leek, and shallot. It has been used by humans for thousands of years and was used in Ancient Egypt for both culinary purposes and its therapeutic benefits.

Researchers have made known that oil containing in garlic restrain and kill many kinds of fungus, virus, coccus, bacilli and virgina tri-chromoniasis. The oil can also prevent the increase of cholesterol level in the body.

Garlic is used for many conditions related to the heart and blood system. These conditions include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, coronary heart disease and heart attack. Some of these uses are supported by science. Garlic actually may be effective in slowing the development of atherosclerosis and seems to be able to moderately reduce blood pressure.
